In 2023, APEC will include burns and disaster relief on agenda for the first time, and has reached a consensus with the chair members of burns field societies in multiple APEC member economies to jointly respond to the world's burn problem. On September 20, two months prior to the opening of the APEC Summit, the "International Regenerative Medicine Online Training - Principles for Wound Management" was successfully held online by ISRMWR. More than 300 medical professionals from all over the world have registered for this training, and most of whom are from APEC economies.
In this training, Dr. Ayu Diah Kesuma from Indonesia, Dr. Wong Teck Siong from Malaysia and Dr. Paulyn Ubial from the Philippines were invited, and delivered exciting speeches on wound assessment, wound management and regenerative medical technology.
During the Q&A session, many participants actively raised questions, discussed various issues related to wound management, and gave very positive feedback on this training.
As an important academic exchange activity before the APEC summit, this training provides a valuable platform for wound management experts to exchange experiences, and will help further promote the awareness of wound management and disaster relief within APEC member economies.
