2021 Regenerative Medicine Symposium Held with Innovation

The 2021 Regenerative Medicine Symposium themed “Application of Regenerative Medical Technology in Burn Treatment” was delivered online by ISRMWR on June 23, 2021, as ISRMWR’s commitment to promote regenerative medical technology.

As an experienced regenerative medicine professional, Professor Wang Hongsheng delivered the speech to more than 70 doctors from Russia, Ukraine, the Philippines, Malaysia and Mongolia, and the contents covered the development of burn treatment, mechanism of regenerative medical technology, treatment procedure, and typical cases. Development of regenerative medical technology in recent decades and treatment of a couple of complicated cases were the highlights. The contents in the main session covered some fundamental elements of regenerative medical technology, and more importantly, illustrated this treatment approach systematically to the majority of the attendees who just recently got introduced to it.

In Q&A session, Professor Wang firstly explained effect of regenerative medical technology on the treatment of stasis zone, then detailed the protocol of application in Ⅲ degree burn with tendon exposure, and at last went into constructive discussions with doctors regarding different scenarios where this technology can be used.  

This symposium made it available for doctors from all over the world to exchange ideas and knowledge, and in return received positive feedback from participating doctors.

From the experience of past online symposiums, ISRMWR went one step further to conduct a multilingual one to cater for broader needs. With this successful attempt, more innovations on online symposiums can be expected in the future for the promotion of regenerative medical technology.
