Global Regenerative Medicine and Wound Repair Training Workshop -- UNAI / Belt and Road Initiative Training Successfully Delivered Online

The Belt and Road Initiative training was delivered successfully online on Nov. 21, 2020, attended by approximately 40 medical professionals from Mongolia, Indonesia.

Its not surprising to see these professionals so keen to take advantage of the weekend to actively participate as it was excellently presented by Dr. Fu Zijun, entitled as the vice chairman of the Burn Committee of Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine, deputy director of Xu Rongxiang Institute of Regenerative Medicine, member of the International Society of Regenerative Medicine and Wound Repair, and executive editor of the Chinese Journal of Burns Wounds & Ulcer Surface.

The training was kicked off by Mongolian host briefing the training content. Considering regenerative medical technology was novel to most of the attendees, Dr. Fu went into details to explain the basic theories such as the mechanism and treatment methods of regenerative medicine. In the part of case sharing, Dr. Fu demonstrated treatment methodology and therapeutic effects of regenerative medicine in the treatment of burn wounds and scalds, diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, gynecological diseases. Well commented by all attendees, the case sharing part highlights cases that combine micro-skin implantation with regenerative medical technology.

In Q&A session, interesting questions were posed on treatment options after otolaryngological surgery, application strategies of MEBO after gynecological surgery and the principles for applying regenerative medicine. In more than 2 hours, training was carried out smoothly, but as not all the attendees had the opportunity ask a question due to the agenda, they can approach Dr. Fu by writing emails for any pending questions.

In times of pandemic, online training has been proved to be an effective alternative to deliver clinical treatment principles and improve treatment skills, in our uncompromised determination to support patients.
