Dr. Magdy Al Satty, General Manager of the Egyptian branch of the UAE Gulf Pharmaceuticals, gave a welcome speech. He expressed his warm welcome to Chinese friends who came from afar and was very honored to participate in this “life regeneration” action. He said he will fully cooperate with this project to ensure the realization of the project objectives.

Mr. Ji Yongjun, deputy director general of Department of American & Oceanian Affairs of CPAFFC, expressed his gratitude to the distinguished guests who participated in the United Nations “Every Woman Every Child” Life Regeneration Action Egypt project. He also said that since the launch of EWEC, China has actively participated in this action. At present, 27 well-known Chinese companies, institutions and associations have joined the network, and each member is actively involved in providing experience, medical technology, equipment, training and services for the health of women and children. They stressed that the EWEC “Life Regeneration” initiated by MEBO International is an important part of the EWEC Action Plan in year 2018.

Ms. Wang Yi, Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Egypt, said that the Chinese government will fully support the cause of women's and children's health and hope that more Chinese enterprises will go out and make more contributions for the global women's and children's health under the UN's "Every Woman Every Child" initiative. As two of the four ancient civilizations, China and Egypt should continue to strengthen intergovernmental cooperation in the future.

Under the influence of the “Belt and Road Initiative”, the relationship between Egypt and China deepen not only through inter-governmental, but through people to people, China and Egypt will work together for the health of women and children.

At the ceremony, Egyptian regenerative medical technology experts Dr. Fawzy Ahmed Hamza, Dr. Mohamed Qadry and Dr. Mostafa Elsonbaty delivered academic speeches respectively, pointing out that MEBO's effect on burn treatment is very significant and can reduce complications. Moreover, it can reduce the cost of hospital care and reduce the suffering of patients.

At the ceremonial scene, the spiritual power and the sharing of outstanding technical effects also triggered President Kevin Xu’s trace of the humanitarian sentiment of Professor Rongxiang Xu, the sharing of MEBO Group's 30-year development history and corporate value, and the appreciation for doctors’ diligence on saving lives and spreading regenerative life science and the abiding expectation on the innovation and development of regenerative life science.

Kevin Xu said that as a practitioner of the UN Every Woman Every Child initiative, MEBO always regards saving lives and improving life as the core value of enterprise development, and believes that only by adhering to the same values can we form our own heritage and influence more power in communication and exchange. The launch of the “Regeneration of Life” initiative in Egypt is also a milestone, leaving a new footprint for MEBO International to give back to the society and fulfill its responsibilities. Kevin Xu emphasized that only by hand in hand can we have greater influence and only when everyone is thriving can we achieve a brighter world.

President Kevin Xu also introduced the implementation of the current “Life Regeneration” action plan and the Egyptian plan. Since MEBO announced in Yanan City, China, it became a member of the United Nations “Every Woman and Every Child” initiative, and established the first UN Rehabilitation Medical Rescue Team and launched the "Life Regeneration" Asia-Africa Assistance Program. By the end of 2018, the operation had supported and treated more than 200 patients in Thailand and Malaysia, trained more than 500 doctors and nurses, and established four cooperative support centers in local hospitals. In the future up to 2020, 8 cooperation centers will be set up with the support of various organizations in Egypt and the strategic partner -- Gulf Pharmaceuticals to complete 200 rescue plans and implement 2,000 medical personnel training, and the total amount of donations is expected to be $350,000.

Subsequently, Kevin Xu announced the launch of the United Nations “Every Woman Every Child” Life Regeneration Action in Egypt, opening a new journey of the “Life Regeneration” Africa section.

After the launching ceremony, the Egyptian “Life Regeneration” action launched a press conference for the project. Local media reporters, doctors and scholars asked questions about the project background, specific measures and budget for the Egyptian project, and how the Chinese government supports “Life Regeneration” and how the local hospitals in Egypt cooperate to carry out project implementation and other issues.

China and Egypt are both ancient civilizations of the world. The friendly exchanges between the two countries have a long history. The 2018 is the 62nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. This "life regeneration" action will deepen the friendly relations between the two peoples and open up new forms of academic exchanges between China and Egypt and international project cooperation.

As the foundation and birthplace of regenerative medical technology for burn wounds and ulcers, MEBO International will continue to actively fulfill the UN's “Every Woman Every Child” initiative, disseminate technology, implement bailouts, benefit other countries, and effectively implement the “life regeneration” initiative in Egypt to spread the road to health and benefit the local people. MEBO International will also strive to build the banner of the United Nations “Every Woman Every Child” initiative in the United Nations network, and influence more responsible enterprises to participate in international public welfare actions, to form a joint force, and to work together to improve the health of woman and children around the world.

The EWECCPN “Life Regeneration” initiative is initiated by MEBO International. The entire action plan will cover China, Africa, South America, Southeast Asia, East Asia and other regions, complete a thousand rescue and donated medical equipment and medicines according to the poverty and lacking medical conditions in these area. The action will not only provide rescue and health medical staff training in Asia, Africa and Latin America, but also actively respond to the national “Belt and Road Initiative”, establishing economic and trade cooperation with aiding countries through international medical trade and other forms to promote local economic and trade development. Chinese culture, Chinese technology, Chinese science and Chinese concepts are used to benefit more countries in the world. During 2016-2020, MEBO International promised to complete 2,000 cases treatment of women and children, cooperate with the national “Belt and Road” initiative and the United Nations Academic Influence platform to complete 10,000 medical staff training and education projects, and plans to invest 1.5 million US dollars and recruit international cooperation fund of 5 million US dollars. In July 2017, the United Nations “Every Woman Every Child” China Partner Network “Life Regeneration” was launched in Malaysia and Thailand. By 2018, more than 200 cases have been treated. The “Regeneration of Life” initiative in Egypt and Lebanon is the second step of the five-year action plan of MEBO International. 400 cases case treatment will be completed between December 2018 and 2020, with a project investment of about US$350,000.

According to statistics, 265,000 people die each year from burns, and the vast majority occur in low and middle-income countries. In addition to adult women, children are also particularly susceptible to burns. Burns are the eleventh cause of death among children aged 1-9. The death rate of burns in children under five in the WHO African region is three times that of infants worldwide. The “Life Regeneration” initiative will work to reduce the disability and mortality rates of women and children after burns in the world, and is important for advancing the UN “Every Woman and Every Child” initiative.
