The great momentum of the development of world regenerative medicine in recent decade has become the new hope of human well-being. However, people around the globe lack the understanding of regenerative medicine plus the insufficient support from the government and society. Under this context, the young entrepreneur and public welfare activist Mr. Kevin Xu who works on cutting edge regenerative medicine, i. e. human body regenerative science (research and clinical application of organ in situ regeneration) initiated the International Society of Regenerative Medicine and Wound Repair in California. According to Mr. Xu, The Society was established to promote the integration of research and application of regenerative medicine and to contribute to the cooperation, coordination, innovation and transfer of other regenerative research institutes. A medical conference or hearing like this will be held in the California State Capitol on the last Tuesday of February each year, which will also honor the birthday of the late founder of regenerative medicine, i. e. Dr. Rongxiang Xu.
