DLES 2021

Diabetic foot problems significantly impair the quality of life of diabetic patients. Amputation in people with diabetes is 10 to 20 times more common compared to those of non-diabetic people. Every 30 seconds a lower limb or part of a lower limb is lost to amputation somewhere in the world as a consequence of diabetes. Chronic wounds also have a significant impact on the health and quality of life of patients and their families, causing pain, loss of function and mobility, depression, financial burden or even death.
The 2021 International Diabetic Lower Extremity and Chronic Wounds Symposium will promote better understanding of the unmet management needs of diabetic lower extremity problems and chronic wound and the new therapeutic approaches that are currently under development.
The 2021DLES will be held in Phuket, Thailand in November 2021
