The 29th Conference of the European Wound Management Association (EWMA) Held in Gothenburg, Sweden

The 29th Conference of The European Wound Management Association (EWMA) was held in Gothenburg, Sweden on June 4th-7th. The theme of the conference was:“Person-centred Wound Care. Who is in Charge of the Wound?” More than 3,600 surgeons, wound treatment experts, and nurses from more than 80 countries participated in this conference.

On June 5th , Doctor Wang Shijun from Fujian Provincial People's Hospital introduced the experience of applying regenerative medicine with the topic "Application of Regenerative Medical Technology in the Treatment of Cobra Bite Wound Ulcer".

On June 6th, Professor Mahmoud Sakr from the Department of Endocrinology, University of Alexandria gave a speech -"A Controlled Randomized Trial Assessing Regenerative Therapy in Healing of Chronic Pressure Ulcers" to introduce clinical research on applied regenerative medicine.

Professor Tan Jun from the Department of Plastic Surgery, Hunan Provincial People's Hospital introduced the clinical experience of fractional laser technology with the title "Clinical Efficacy of Manual Fractional Technology Using a Fractional CO2 Laser for the Treatment of Hypertrophic Scars".

In addition, Doctor Xue Hongbin from the Affiliated Hospital of Yan'an University and Doctor Chin Yen Lee from the University of Malaysia submitted the electronic academic poster with topics of“Preliminary Clinical Study on the Autologous Cylinder-like Micro-Skin Implantation”and“Moist Exposed Burn Ointment and Wound Management in Malaysian Setting”.

The International Society for Regenerative Medicine and Wound Repair (ISRMWR) was formally established in 2018 and has held several academic symposiums in China, the United States, and Greece. With the title of “Sharing Evidence and Experience on Regenerative Life Science”, ISRMWR has organized five international experts in regenerative medicine to introduce the application experience of regenerative medicine in various fields.

The European Wound Management Association is the largest medical academic organization in Europe. Its members cover medical staff in more than 100 countries around the world. The EWMA Annual Conference is also one of the world's largest academic activities in the field of wound management.
